Check Acadia Parish Arrests on VINE

A VINE arrest check for Acadia Parish tells you whether a particular adult sits in parish or state custody. It can also alert you the moment that custody changes. That makes it a handy tool when you want to know who was arrested in Acadia Parish or when someone you care about might come home. Louisiana VINE and VINELink allow free person searches. Release and transfer notices arrive by phone, text, or email. The service is not a court docket, a mugshot archive, or a full arrest history. A fresh Acadia Parish booking may lag behind the system. Federal custody falls outside it entirely. Match details carefully. Confirm anything urgent with the jail or the arresting agency.

VINE Coverage for Acadia Arrests

Louisiana VINE runs through the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement. It works with the Louisiana Sheriffs' Association, the Louisiana District Attorneys Association, and the Department of Public Safety and Corrections. LCLE describes the service as tracking adult inmates in every parish jail and state prison. Search at VINELink or call 866-528-6748. The number also prints as 866-LAVNS-4-U.

Acadia is covered. The statewide description points the same way. LCLE's own link to an Acadia LA VINE roster confirms the parish is on the system. So VINE works well for a custody check and for signing up to get alerts. It is not a complete arrest index. Juvenile records can be withheld. Someone in transit, recently released, or held on a non-participating path may not appear.

State custody and local booking are different things. The Louisiana DOC inmate information page explains the split. Check the Acadia roster first after a new arrest. A person may be sentenced or transferred into DPS&C custody. At that point, shift to the state route.

What Acadia VINE Results Show

VINE tracks custody events, nothing more. The fields it can display depend on the participating agency and the state of each record. If a field differs from an older help page, the live record wins.

Result itemMeaning and limit
Name and identifierDetails used to distinguish records; confirm before registering.
Custody statusWhether the system reports the person held, released, or in another listed state.
Facility or agencyThe participating custodian tied to the current result.
Arrest or booking dateThe date supplied by the agency, not an exact web-posting time.
Release or transfer eventA status change that may trigger notice after agency data reaches VINE.
State custody detailsFor DPS&C records, information can include location and projected release data.
PhotoNot promised as a general public field or booking-photo archive.

The Acadia LA VINE roster has carried name, date of birth, gender, race, and arrest date. The APSO Zuercher portal adds local fields of its own. Those include held-for agency, release date, and hold reasons. Neither system can be assumed to mirror every field in the other.

Register for Acadia Custody Alerts

Signing up costs nothing, and you can stay anonymous. Acadia Parish users pick from whatever contact methods VINELink offers for a given record. Those are usually phone, text, or email. Louisiana sources point to release and transfer as the events the service covers. Registration is not a court calendar. A hearing or a changed charge will not trigger a message.

  1. Open the confirmed person's custody record and choose the notification option.
  2. Select each offered event and delivery method that fits the need.
  3. Enter the phone number, text number, or email address requested by the live form.
  4. Create a four-digit PIN when the system prompts for one.
  5. Complete confirmation and keep the PIN available for automated calls.

The general VINELink landing page provides access to the current registration route.

The alert system depends on data that participating agencies feed it. Crime Survivors NOLA, a nonprofit, explains that automated calls keep coming until you enter your PIN. The live service is what governs current behavior. Double-check your contact details for typos. Update them whenever a phone number or email changes.

Note: Registration tracks custody events from participating sources; it does not create a court alert or guarantee instant delivery.

Acadia VINE Update Timing

Two update intervals exist, and they describe different records. The LCLE says parish live rosters refresh roughly every 30 minutes. Louisiana DOC puts its DPS&C inmate information through VINE on a 24-hour cycle. Neither number applies to the other system. A fresh Acadia Parish booking should not be judged by the state interval. State-prison data cannot promise parish speed.

Processing can happen before either public view moves. Arrest, transport, intake, fingerprinting, data entry, release, and transfer all open gaps. VINE also cannot list a person until the agency submits or updates the record.

Confirm urgent changes: Do not rely on one alert or a missing result when safety, pickup, or immediate release timing matters. Contact the facility directly.

VINE and LAVO Are Different

Adult parish VINE and Louisiana Victim Outreach are separate services. LA VINE handles anonymous searches and custody alerts for participating parish-jail and state-prison events. DOC describes LAVO as a state victim-services route. It covers projected and actual state-prison release information. A local Acadia VINE registration is not the full LAVO process. It will not carry a state release photograph or every court event. Some registered victims need state-prison notification. They should check Louisiana DOC victim services for the right route. The distinction matters. It keeps a local booking alert from being mistaken for a permanent state case service.

The APSO mobile app is different again. Its listing covers tips, crime reports, and public-safety news, not a roster or booking-photo feed. For custody changes, VINE remains the official alert path.

Limits of an Acadia VINE Check

A VINE check has real limits. It is not a court disposition service, a historical booking archive, or a guaranteed photo source. Nothing on VINELink replaces the APSO booking summary. Treat the two tools as partners rather than rivals. A release result, for example, only tells you one thing. The person left the custody state that VINE listed. That is not the same as charges going away. A transfer result works the same way. It may require a fresh search through the receiving system to get current answers.

Federal and immigration custody sit outside VINE entirely. The Bureau of Prisons locator handles federal imprisonment, and ICE runs its own Online Detainee Locator. Neither one functions as an Acadia Parish arrest roster. Once a person moves beyond local or state custody, the receiving agency holds the answer. Waiting on a local VINE record will not produce it.

For a fresh booking that has not reached VINE yet, check the official APSO roster. The Arrested Today process is the next stop. APSO can also take calls at 337-788-8700. When the online fields fall short, try a focused public-records request. It can seek the booking summary, the release record, or the photograph.

Custody Does Not Prove Guilt

VINE simply passes along custody information supplied by agencies. An entry is a status report rather than a final word on a case. The Acadia Parish Clerk of Court holds the local path to formal filings and disposition. Some city misdemeanors run through a municipal court instead. Identify the arresting agency and the case location first. Then take your question to the right court. The Acadia Parish recent-arrests overview keeps booking, custody, and court sources separated. Each one gets checked in its proper place.

Use the right record: VINE answers custody questions. The originating agency answers booking questions, and the court record answers what happened to the case.
